Production Toolbox provides large UHD LED Screen for 11th Annual Festival of the Arts BOCA
Production Toolbox was pleased to a part of the world premiere of Blake Edwards’ classic 1964 comedy film, The Pink Panther, accompanied by the Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra. 171 of our new Absen A2pro LED panels looked fantastic as a 15’x31’ mid-stage screen flown over the orchestra and the 3192 x 1512 pixel resolution added a new level of WOW to an already unique concert experience.
There’s a lot more involved in providing a great looking large UHD LED screen than just having great looking LED panels. The 8 million+ pixels of the 4K image demand special processing and we chose the Barco Event Master S3-4K Screen Management System to handle these duties. This amazing piece of hardware seamlessly stitches the four separate outputs needed to create the total image. No more trial and error by tweaking the image with multiple video scalers. We always run both primary and redundant cable paths (yes, it is necessary). For this project we cascaded eight Novastar 660s and consolidated the 20 CAT5e cable runs into five 4-channel tactical snakes.
Major League performance on a budget This value-added service may seem superfluous to some other suppliers. We don’t agree. Regardless of the screen size we always provide what is necessary for a successful event. It’s the only way we operate at Production Toolbox because we don’t just rent gear, we guarantee the results!
