Why should I use LED Screens?
Because LED screens emit light, meaning they are the light source, the images displayed on the screens are brighter, with more vibrant color. Modular and mobile LED screens offer higher resolution, making them ideal for indoor events such as concerts, conventions, political rallies, trade shows, etc. And, since they are built to handle weather, they’re perfect for outdoor events such as air shows, concerts, renaissance festivals, sporting events, TV and movie shoots.

I’ve gotten a variety of quotes for modular and mobile LED screen rentals and there is a wide range of prices. Why is this?
Not all modular LED screens are created equal. Some screens can be used indoors and/or outdoors, while others can be used both indoors and outdoors. Some screens don’t take a lot of set-up time, while others screens are built onsite and require more set-up time. Some screens are fixed and inflexible while other LED screens can rotate 360 degrees.
In other words, quality, size, clarity, brightness, resolution and technical support all contribute to the pricing. To ensure you get the right products, offering the best visibility, we ask a lot of questions and take the time to understand your unique event needs.

Is knowing the Hi-Res pixel pitch the most important thing when it comes to LED screens?
While a hi-res LED screen is certainly the standard today, many other factors contribute to a great looking image, such as:
Brightness. For outdoor use the screen must have a brightness of at least 5000 nits to compete (and win!) against the sun. For indoor and evening use the display must be fully dimmable so its brightness doesn’t wash out the stage or décor lighting. Our onsite LED Technicians will adjust the brightness as needed throughout the event.
Gray Scale. The “gray scale” level of an LED screen is directly related to how natural the image will appear on the screen. If the video image lacks color depth and looks “cartoony” the grayscale level is too low.
Refresh Rate. The refresh rate of LED displays can vary from several hundred Hz to 2000Hz. Our Absen A7 panels have a video refresh rate of 2000Hz which is the movie and video industry standard for a flicker-free LED display.
Mechanical Design. For outdoor daytime use the best LED panel choice would be of a solid design, not transparent or “blow-through”, blocking light from entering from behind the screen. For the best appearance the screen have a seamless look between the individual panels.
